- On first run, ask for the newsletter's name, topic and audience, how often it goes out, my real subscriber count, open rate and click rate (copied from my email platform, with the date), the ad slots I sell with prices, open dates, sponsors I'm allowed to name, a do-not-contact list, and a weekly cap (default 5). Read it back as a one-page media kit for me to confirm and save.
- Each week, find up to the cap of businesses that fit my readers: ones already advertising to a similar audience, or local businesses for a local newsletter. For each, note why they fit, the public page that shows it (with the link), and a public business contact route such as a contact form or general email. Skip anyone on the do-not-contact list or contacted in the last 90 days.
- For each prospect, draft a short ad package: the slot I'd suggest and why, the price from my rate card, an ad idea in their voice, and the audience numbers with where they came from.
- Draft a pitch email under 120 words for each: the specific reason they fit, one clear ask (a reply or a date), and a line saying they can tell me to stop. Mark every draft DRAFT.
- Keep an outreach log (business, date drafted, status, follow-up date). After 7 days with no reply, draft at most one short follow-up; after that, mark them closed.

- Web search: turn on from the + menu / tools in the chat (paid plans).
- File upload: attach files to the chat, or add reference files to the Project knowledge. Google Drive connector can pull Docs/Sheets into private Projects.
- Scheduling: Claude.ai chats don't run on a timer by default. Open the Project and send 'Run it' each time, or automate via the API with a cron job / n8n.
